HAPPY NON-DENOMINATIONAL APPROXIMATE WINTER SOLSTICE HOLIDAY!

My holiday of choice is Christmas, and pretty much always has been. Since I am basically a huge tradition-loving sap around winter break, I thought I'd perpetuate my own Christmas tradition of doing a huge music spam comprising my favorite songs of the year! Also because I'm ridiculous and love making extra work for myself, this year's spam follows in the footsteps of the last two and is structured in the same style as the carol The Twelve Days of Christmas. To put it briefly, the songs are assigned ranks from the gifts in the carol, going from most favorite -- the partridge in a pear tree -- to least, in order. That's 78 songs total, just enough to sum up a year's worth of awesome music.

AS USUAL, I think I just spent more than an hour working on something it will likely take you five minutes to enjoy. But I hope you enjoy it nonetheless! If nothing else, it's at least partially a reflection of my flist's music tastes, seeing as I ganked a lot of this music from you all in the first place :3 All 78 songs are in a .zip file downloadable [ HERE ] if you want them. In retrospect, this is probably the earliest I've ever had the post up and complete on Christmas Day. AGAIN, QUITE THE ACCOMPLISHMENT.

In the spirit of the holiday, I wanted to come up with a gift for you guys, 'specially since I haven't been posting very often lately. So I decided to start a tradition by doing another Christmas music spam, consisting of my favorite songs of the year. As I am hilariously deficient in mental facility I decided to follow last year's example and organize my favorite songs by assigning them to gifts from the carol The Twelve Days of Christmas. Accordingly, the songs (78 total) go from most favorite -- the partridge in a pear tree -- to least, in order. Any less and the music spam's too short, any more and I can't rate them properly, they're all equally awesome :|

ANYWAY this took ridiculous amounts of effort for a ridiculously small result, but I hope you can find something you enjoy in this list! Since I've been offline so much recently, I really wanted to have a nice gift ready for when I got back. What I finally came up with was a list of my favorite songs of 2008, which I thought I'd upload and share. Being retarded, I also decided to organize them not only by preference, but by assigning them to the gifts from the carol The Twelve Days Of Christmas. With the gifts in the song increasing in number by one each time until you get to 12, you have 78 gifts overall -- enough to list this year's favorite songs and organize them accordingly, from most favorite (the partridge in a pear tree) to least. (See? Retarded. But moving along.)

Why go to this extent to upload 78 songs, many of which have showed up on your journals already because that's where I got them? The best answer I can give is "idk lol." So, in one of my more whimsical moments, I decided it would be a great idea to do a fanmix for fandomsecrets, the secret-posting community that's all fandom, all most of the time. You've probably heard the premise before: use a graphics program to share something you've never told anyone, while completely anonymous. (If you haven't heard of it, go visit the comm! It's ridiculously addictive!) Of course, the best way to announce this was by making a secret myself. Remember this? Yeah. Me.

Well, I got enough "DO IT, FAGGOT"s to inspire me anyway, so I kept working. And now it's finally done, cover art and all. So for your listening pleasure, I present to you the first (to my knowledge) fandomsecrets FST.
